Are you sick of paying outlandish gas prices? A local prayer group has the perfect solution for expensive gas—pray about it. Two prayer services were held at St. Louis gas stations to ask God for lower fuel prices and to continue reducing gas prices.
Darrell Alexander, Midwest co-chair of the Pray at the Pump movement, says prayer gatherings were held at a Mobil station near downtown St. Louis. Participants plan to buy gas, pray and then sing "We Shall Overcome." They also plan to add another verse requesting lower prices. Activist, Rocky Twyman, started the group.
Twyman said if the politicians won’t lower gas, they will request help from a higher power. Nothing else seems to work so maybe they have the right idea. Participants from the prayer group are now enjoying gas for under $4. They must have prayed for my area also as I am seeing gas prices drop down to $3.59. Even if it’s only temporary, I will enjoy the savings while I can.
