Alison Smith, 24, is standing by her fourth husband, Alex Shepherd, 27. Smith knows a little something about marriage. Alex is her fourth husband. Although Smith learned that Shepherd has cheated on her, she insists on becoming a bride for the fourth time. She is obviously not patient. Smith’s first husband, George Greenhowe, ran off with her mother after ten days of marriage. She realized they had rushed into things and began arguing immediately. Within two weeks of tying the knot, Greenhowe ended up in mom’s bed and became Smith’s ex-husband and stepfather. Is Jerry Springer getting this?
A few months later, a Smith became engaged to Peter Knight, courtesy of some matchmaking by stepfather George. Knight decided to take the exit door and left four days before the wedding.
On the rebound, Smith, eight months pregnant, married ex-boyfriend Daniel Innes, 18. The marriage with Innes soon ended in divorce. Next came Willie McKellican, 50, in April, 2006. Smith soon discovered that McKellican already had a wife. His bigamy charges were eventually dropped.

Smith then started dating Alex Shepherd, 27, until he cheated on her. Smith put the marriage on hold. After some thought, She decided to make things work with Shepherd by proposing marriage to him. He accepted. Infidelity has made their relationship stronger, according to Shepherd. Smith agrees, “This time, it feels different,” she says.
"Alex and I have had our ups and downs. We split up for five months last year after I found out he had been seeing another girl - but in many ways that made our relationship stronger.
"I've been unlucky but now I'm sure I've finally found my prince - this time I believe we will live happily ever after."
Smith and Shepherd were hitched at the Arbroath Registry Office. Stepfather, George Greenhowe, walked her down the aisle.
"Hopefully, we'll all be left in peace to live happily ever after,’ says Smith.
"It doesn't bother me that I'm Alison's fourth husband. She is my first wife and I have no plans to have another, “said Alex. I never found Jerry Springer but I thought this was an interesting love story about a little princess who finally found herself a pearl among the swine. Who says real love doesn’t exist? There is no need to look past Alex and Alison for proof.
