CBS News has reported that Rob Ford, 46, the former mayor of Toronto has died of cancer. TMZ reported that doctors diagnosed Ford with pleomorphic liposarcoma in 2014. Unfortunately, surgery and chemotherapy wasn’t enough to save him. The former mayor was a controversial, but popular media sensation.
During his time as mayor, his name remained in the headlines for the wrong reasons. His troubles included public intoxication, racist comments, and sexist comments. Although Ford had personal wealth, he was known as a caring leader who focused on cutting costs.
