Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, David Cook won the 2007 American Idol competition. He won by an overwhelming amount of votes. The percentages were 56-44 in his favor while runner-up "Archie" heads back home with his pushy stage dad. It will be a long plane ride back home.
My wife and I enjoy watching American Idol. We missed the first season but caught up with the second when Reuben Studdard won. I am embarrassed to say, we actually called in and voted. I enjoy watching these talented kids try to be more than Karaoke singers.
We also enjoy dining out, reading books, and spending time together. But Idol is one of our guilty pleasures. American Idol is one of the things we both enjoy watching.
