Clive the Cat |
ABC News affiliate KOAT reported today that Clive, a beautiful Norwegian Forest cat has returned to his Toton, England home after disappearing more than a year ago. Clive’s owners, Tonya and Jonathan Irons turned to Facebook for help in finding their missing feline. No one could offer any help. Unknown to the Irons family, Clive had found sanctuary at the Kennelgate Pet Superstore in Stapleford.
He began using the store as a hideout. Warehouse employees began finding signs of a cat burglar—cat poop and opened cat food. Clive the cat was hiding out in a pet food warehouse for the past year. Facebook Photo According to the BBC News, the warehouse operations director said something unusual was setting off the warehouse security system. The fat cat burglar turned out to be Clive.
It took warehouse staff more than a week to catch the sneaky cat. They used a trap from a local cat rescue center to catch Clive. The trap lured the sneaky cat into a cage with treats and shut the door behind him. Based on his before and after photos, Clive has not missed too many meals.
