Browser the reading mascot is unceremoniously evicted from the library

Fox News reports a story that has angered many Texans. The White City Texas library is about to become the former home of a treasured reading mascot named Browser—a beloved rescue cat. City Council members Elzie Clements and Paul Moore voted 2-1 to evict Browser, who has lived in the library for six years. Clements said animals shouldn’t be allowed in any city facility.

Browser has 30 days to leave. Although he is a celebrity and has his own Facebook page, someone had an issue with him. Mayor Ron White called the situation pettiness among council members. White said a city employee was upset about not being allowed to bring a puppy to work at City Hall. The next meeting to discuss Browser is on July 12. The mayor is hoping council allows Browser to stay.
