Rolling Stone reported that a major war could be brewing between rapper Azealia Banks and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Banks responded to a fake Palin news story on Newslo, which is a political satire website. Writer Lea Vat Kens wrote the satirical piece and quoted Palin as saying:
“Negroes loved being slaves because of the simple fact that they can’t tackle the world around them on their own. They need someone to govern them, to show them how to organize, how to live as a community, in a civilized manner. They pretty much need us more than we need them.”
Banks tweeted a response to Palin:
"Let's find the biggest burliest blackest Negroes and let them run a train on her. Film it and put it on Worldstar.”
Had Banks done some research, she would have learned the story wasn’t true.
