The most haunted places in Cincinnati

Walk through any subdivision and you will see signs of Halloween, or what is known as All Hallow’s Eve. Old Celtic legend has it that on Halloween, the world of the living and the dead cross paths. During this cross over, it is believed the dead revisit the world that no longer has a place for them.

The ghosts then rein havoc on the living. Of course, modern science has ruled out this possibility. After all, everyone knows the dead cannot return—or can they?

A ghost can be seen in this picture taken at Bobby Mackey's in Wilder, Kentucky. Mackey owns the most haunted nightclub ever built. The club is just outside Cincinnati, Ohio. But, if the dead can return, why do they always seek sanctuary in a broken down old house? Since the 1979 Amityville Horror legend appeared in the movies, we have become intrigued by houses that attract the dead.

However, proving the existence of real ghosts or genuine haunted houses can be difficult—especially with software programs like Photoshop and other technological ghost enhancers. However, for those who believe in ghosts, Ohio has a reputation for having many different haunted houses. It is likely that many Ohioans either live or work near a haunted house without even knowing it. I have provided a list of five well-known haunted houses within the Cincinnati vicinity.
