In the 70s, people pushed their shopping carts with lit cigarettes hanging from their mouths. The ashes just dropped like dead leaves. Grocery workers must have hated cleaning up cigarette butts and ashes back in those days.

Grocery stores also didn’t have any large freezers. There was a large oval shaped monstrosity that sat in the middle of the floor. If it was frozen, workers just fed it to the monstrosity. Back in those days, variety wasn’t the spice of life either. For instance, there were only two choices of pizza—gross or nasty. Today, you have about 100 different types of frozen pizza.
