Fortune.com
reported that video games brought in more than $23 billion last year, which
exceeded 2014 by 5 percent. But that’s no surprise. After a hard day at work,
people need to find something to do to escape the harsh realities of life. We
have come a long way since the ancient days of Atari and Sega. Many of us older
folk remember playing video games with stick people. So if gamer fans aren’t
playing video games, then they are watching movie versions.
For instance, the “Warcraft” movie will hit the theaters
on June 10, 2016. On a smaller scale,
there is a video game them YouTube series that started last year. The series is
called “AFK” (Away from Keyboard). The show is about six gamers that wake up
and find themselves trapped inside avatars of their video game characters. One
gamer was a football player who woke up as a woman! Peter Haynes is the creator
of this great program. I thought I would check out a few episodes and then ask
Peter to share some knowledge about his program.
